I'm grazing the member blogs, 'cause that's what I do, and I run across a member who's posted this:
"I love Christmas... Because of the gifts... send me some.... please...
"
And the previous blog:
"I finally got my wish list set up...
give it a look... it is located on my profile page.... kisses
"
Oddly, I can respect the shameless way this person goes on the internet and grubs for Christmas gifts from complete strangers. If you're gonna be a gift whore, be proud about it. Shout it out! What bothers me is the sense of entitlement this conveys. "I'll flirt with you virtually, give you nothing of substance, but spend your money on me. 'Cause I deserve it." The fuck you do. How grand is your ego or low your self-esteem to actually post this on a site where daily you see people cease to be members because they can't afford four dollars a month? Go you.
In other news, I'm a three day class from being ready to deploy. I have most of my gear (some I'll pick up along the way, some I still need to get here) and I'm waiting on orders and plane tickets (I'm not walking across the Atlantic...not this time). Aside from that, I have a place to park the car, a garage to park the Harley, and a management office to watch the apartment. Get me started on my 120 day vacation!
