Right, after my recent success with converting the many minions to the music of the Proclaimers I shall try my hand at some 50's pop.

Johnny Horton's 'Running Bear - Little White Dove'
Bobby Vee's 'Poetry In Motion'
The Platter's 'Earth Angel'
Tommy Edwards 'All In The Game'
Clarence "Frogman" Henry 'Ain't Got No Home'

Feel free to throw some other titles into the mix.

Do you like the Proclaimers?

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
They are what Elvis would have been had he been a couple of speccy twins fae Auchtermuchty with a penchant for acoustic folky music.

I do and would propose that purveyors of good singer/songwriting give them a punt.

If you just like Bleep Bleep Whizz music still give them a punt and enjoy some songs you...

Well piercings are painfull and thats part of the fun, but then theres Fuck Me! painful. No numbing of any kind, when did they stop doing that? Oh well they're cool now, theres no lingering pain at all which is a relief.

Thanks for you're lovely comments, very sweet blush the nekidness was an oversight on my part I blame Cherry!

Today I am Jacob's.

Got another session under my belt and am very happy with it, hopefully I shall get a call from Mo to come in to get some touchup work done gratis in the next couple of weeks. My next paid session will have to be December at the earliest.

What are you reading right now?

I currently am steaming through Tim Willocks...

Ahh it makes sense to me too now's I know what you're talking bout!
zombieelvis:
The Acme Novelty Library by F.C. Ware.

This is possibly the most depressing book I have ever read in my life. Apart from Revolutionary Road. I may kill myself if I continue with it.

It's a book that has to be owned, because it's beautiful, but if you ever dip into it's pages you will be instantly consumed by a melancholy so profound that you'll want to tear out your own brain. Although it's only 16 (less if you get a 20% discount on all books forever, which I do).

Oh, and pineapple. Though technically that's a berry and not a fruit at all.

Just a couple of years behind but I was looking for a copy of XTC's 'Making plans for Nigel' last night and came up with a version by Nouvelle Vague which I really like, did a quick check and just love the bastardised versions of old tunes they've covered.

Thought for the day expressed through the power of 80's power rock ballad:

And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us, ooh

Snap update.

Under the needle again today and very happy with the results. Looks like two sessions to finish the first coat and then whatever on "touch ups" so it's unlikely it'll be finished this year as I won't have any spare cash after my next appointment unless I lift my own overtime ban for a few shifts. Not something I want to do as...

Glad your inkwork is going well. I'd like to work with Saira at the family buisness (thanks for recomending them) but it probably won't be as soon as I'd hoped. I'm happy with my design just aprehensive about the pain more the not knowing what it feels like, but hey I'll find out soon, your body can only be in so much pain for so long, right surely?

kiss
djinn:
Well I'm only planning oh getting blackwork so its all going to hurt, fabulous! I'm OK with pain, I'll be fine hey I may even enjoy it,, actually from the people I've spoken to the concensus seens to be it hurts like fuck but not enough to stop them getting more.

So the inking has been rebegun .......... rebeganned?

There is indepthness and problem solving taking place.

I am not quite at the point of wishing it was "done already" but if it goes beyond 4 more sessions I think I'll be there. It's been a long time in the making, it's not nearly finished but (and it's the sort of but that Sir Mixalot would...

new ink = always amazing. in a month or so im getting a decent sized arm piece done, and i can't wait.

and the small tattoos? it's the sticker book idea. i like having a lot of little different ones, haha. but most of them are in some sort of a theme and can be related with a different tattoo that i have. . .

anyways, just stopping in to say hi!
magic8ball:

So, hot again.

I put together my new WINXP MCE PC today and co-ordinated it with my 360.

All working fine.

Just need to get a bit of software to stream divx etc through the 360 and get my kvm switch through the post and I'll be peachy keen.

I wonder if I've been anti-vouched yet?

a picture?

or not

Whilst looking for a suitable picture I came across an idea for a pair of tattoos for my calves. For some reason pretty much all my ideas for tattoos end up being of religious imagery. I guess there is more religious art than any other kind. Anyway, the idea was to have two archangels wrapped...

So I finished David Peace's Red Riding Quartet today and, much as I enjoyed it if that's the right word, it did leave me a bit WTF. I may just be a bit slow but if I read a series of four books I don't think it's too much to be a little spoon fed and have more "closure".

If you haven't read them then...

I had a look at David Peace's Red Ridinghood quartet, crime writing doesn't really do it for me but it sounds interresting.
