Unquestionable dedication to any source of information is simply intellectual suicide. Like it or not, there is no one creed, religion, book or person with the ability to explain things and be right about them all the time. To grab hold of a set of rules and live by them to the letter is to imprison yourself. There are lessons to be learned in all things, and all these lessons must remain flexible and judged on a case by case basis. As you all know, I have my ideas about things, but let it be known that they remain entirely malleable at all times. New things come to light every day, and reality will flow whichever direction it likes, with or without our help.
This is not to say we should not try and possibly make some things happen. I'm not advocating an entirely passive approach to living, but there must be a balance between the agressive actions and the passive ones. If one eases up on trying to control everything (much like I'm trying to do) then you start to see when opportunities arise for you to exert your influence over the natural course of the universe. It is a challenge to stand against the tide, and the human mind is a wonderful little contraption that craves these little tests of what it thinks it knows. Do not deny it that. Always question all that you believe, but remember to allow the principles by which you stand to work in your daily life while remaining free to be changed if necessary.
