So I said I'd participate in Journal Poetry Day, and I will, even though I don't think anyone from that thread is going to read it.
I wrote this one a few years ago, and it got published in some cheap poetry collection put out by poetry.com. Fair enough.
Immortal Death
A new dawn breaks, a new life wakes
Born lacking end, still, born again
A soul of old, one might say
A soul that helped construct today
Seeing years and tears go by
Crying cheers and jeers in time
Carrying with it the knowledge of past
And hopes of this life being it's last
To us, a message this soul would send:
Forever lived is to wish for end

Its not a dominance thing. I just want to do something that's going to make me smile later when I think about it. Or laugh.
