11:04 PM - Just finished filing my state taxes electronically. I paid them their measly SEVEN FUCKING DOLLARS electronically by credit card. Now onto Federal taxes by phone ... 55 minutes to go...
11:31 PM - Federal taxes are done. I had to restart twice because they are idiots. "If you have any federal tax withheld for unemployment compensation, Press 1". They give you no option if you had no tax withheld, so I pressed nothing. They hung up on my ass. Finally, the third time through, I pressed '1' and entered "0" dollars as my entry and it allowed me to continue. Assholes.
The feds are charging this unemployed guy $753.
Bastards.

Whatever ... I started my taxes at about 10:45 PM and finished them up with 13 minutes to spare.
Next year I'll start at eleven PM on 04/15... or maybe I'll do them in February ... we'll see.
