Wow ... I should've bitched about the weather earlier because it seemed to work.
Today was BEE-YOU-TUH-FULL!! ... sunny as all hell and 70 degrees. Thank you jebus!
I woke up around noon-thirty, made up some breakfast, showered up, and then headed over to my friends' house. I knew they weren't home as they had a party to go to, but I didn't care ... I was going over to steal.
I pulled into their driveway and casually opened their garage door with the electronic code I use when I watch their house when they go on vacation. No one would suspect a thing.
I grabbed a beer from the fridge and then I proceeded to do something I've been waiting to do for months ... I washed my car.
Not a half-assed "that's good enough" trip to the car-wash ... I washed my car like it hasn't been washed since last summer. Exterior wash and wax, vacuum (and not just a 75 cent vacuum), Armor-All the interior, wheels, tires, the windows done to perfection ... everything.
An eight year old car can look pretty damn sweet when it's at its cleanest.
I went inside to catch the end of the NHL playoff games and saw the 3rd period of the Ducks/Wings game. Wow. Does Detroit do this every year just for dramatic effect?
I was sitting on the couch eating popcorn and watching the news when they came home. The first thing Donna asked was whether or not I had eaten. I repiled with, "just your popcorn.". She made me a sandwich ... a damn good sandwich, actually. Andy just laughed at me and told me he had just left a message on my voice mail mocking me for sleeping this beautiful day away. Heh.
We hung out for another few hours, I kicked his ass at both pool and Madden. I eventually left to do some long overdue shopping ... first Target then grocery. Fairly uneventful, although I continue to hate damn near everyone, which is reconfirmed every time I go shopping.
Got home, unloaded all of the crap I had bought, and settled in for a night divided by getting shit done around this place, playing some PS2, watching TV, and checking in here.
Today has been a good day.
