@missy & @rambo @bloghomework if i was to invent anything it would be a time machine,
not a stationary device like the one in hg wells time machine as a child watching that film i always thought what if millions of yrs in the future or past the time machine appeared inside an active volcano or thousands of feet under water you would be pretty screwed
something like the TARDIS, because i would have to be an observer floating above and watching as time passed by, wouldn't want to risk changing the future like in ray bradburys the sound of thunder were killing an insect or standing on a plant in Jurassic times changed so much of the future..
but then again there are many things in the past i would love to change not just observe, i have always had an affinity with the native american tribes.. i would love to spend time with them live with them and immerse myself in their way of life their connection with the earth the harmony and connection with the circle of life before Columbus stumbled across them when he got lost looking for india... over a hundred million native Americans were slaughtered in the 500 year war the worlds longest Holocaust, they were stripped of their religion their lands and their language, the same happened all be it on a smaller scale to my ancestors in ireland one million dead their food land language taken from them and over 2 million left ireland and emigrated to the states and i am sure had there part in the genocide in the states, i say smaller scale but i think ireland could fit in America a hundred times over...
i digress the above is another topic for another time....
so back to the invention... a time machine like the TARDIS trying my best not to change anything big in history if i can help it but i know that i would not be able to as already stated above a small change is believed to have catastrophic consequences so i would not be able to jump about time like Dr sam beckett fixing what i think is wrong with history
so that leaves me floating around in a little blue box watching the past for ever in fear that i might do something wrong changing the future.... or destroying the universe so probably not the best thing to invent..... ah well back to the history books
