so this is my first blog homework @rambo @missy & @lyxzen, my first tattoo i got while living in scotland, the irish bar that i drank in had a night club upstairs (the bar also doubled as our staff office i worked in mental health at the time and on my days of my work colleague would text me to say she was holding a staff meeting in the office if i wished to attend it was on the otherside of town from where we worked but it gave us the chance to have a good bitching session about work without anyone disturbing us.
plus it did a great pint of guinness) any how i digress... at the top of the stairs there was a mural of a celtic cross and in the middle of the cross were 2 celtic seahorses, i always thought it would make a great tattoo, the only problem being that having quite skinny arms i knew the cross would not fit on my arm where i wanted the tattoo due to the amount of detail in the painting... so every time i climbed those stairs i really wanted that tattoo on my arm, i did try working out to increase the size of my arm so i could be a better canvas but i have a very fast metabolism and am also diabetic so found it really hard to gain weight or muscle,
so i decided just to get just the seahorses on my arm (this decision took all of four yrs) i was very nervous going in on the day i was booked in for i had taken the day off work and was off work on the rota for the two days after, (there was a lot of personal care of others in my job roll and i wanted to be healed to avoid any infection..
i arrived to be told the girl doing my tattoo was of sick with the flu and i would have to arrange another appointment (was this a sign? should i not get this work done?)
anyhow i arranged it for the next week after all i had waited 4yrs what was another week, i was quite amazed it was not as sore as the horror stories i had heard and healed very quickly the shop sold me their own brand of cream (well more of a balm with lavender and other essential oils)
a few yrs later while visiting a friend we went for a drive to look at and soak up the energy of some ancient stone circles on the way home we stopped of at an old church and i saw the actual cross
in the church graveyard i have included a picture of it here also
the tattoo is quite faded now and could probably do with a touch up but i still love it i now have six
