This movie gets a lot right and manages to avoid many worn out tropes that you see in other films of the same genre (tho there was one that jumped out at me towards the end). The story takes an interesting direction in act 2 that gives the whole film way more depth than you'd think it should be able to pull off.

The Suicide Squad (not to be confused with the 2016 film Suicide Squad) is superior in a lot of ways to it's predecessor thanks in large part to James Gunn - the cast is (in a lot of ways) better, script is tighter, the directing uses the actors to much greater effect, and the soundtrack (much like Gunn's two Guardians of the Galaxy films) has...
