Yeah, I'd love to go there in a heartbeat but got no one to go with. I don't have a problem going on my own but it's nicer when you have others.
I was apart of an honor guard ceremony today for a kid, that was a resident for the town I work for, that was killed in Afghanistan. 20 years old, barely had any life experiences I bet outside of the war. i think whether we are for or against the war, we need to show support to our soldiers. lots of people don't see it like that because they're angry and they've got personal reasons. well that's why they don't serve or want to serve. to deny the heroes dignity and hope that they deserve because they serve to keep countless strangers safe is wrong. i'm sooo thankful for what they do because it's sacrifice. what costs more than life? he didn't die for nothing.

Best concerts so far this year, the 88 Fingers Louie reunion show, Blood In Blood Out's last show at Knight of Columbus in Arlington Heights, the Bouncing Souls show in NYC, and Bad Religion/Pearl Jam. I'm hoping the Riot Fest does not disappoint in October.
Leaving for NYC in the morning, I'm super stoked to see the Bouncing Souls, None More Black, and Lifetime. I'm hoping NYC is nice at least. Nothing will beat Chicago, ha! I'm gonna try and get tattooed while I'm out there too. We'll see. Hopefully catch the Mets/Braves game and then drive to Boston to see Red Sox/Yankees.

New York was ok. I saw the Empire State Building, WTC, Wall Street, and Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. The sites and sounds were pretty rad the people overall I was not a big fan of. The Bouncing Souls show was off the fucking hook. None More Black and Lifetime were both unbelievable live and the Souls were just unreal. Overall had a good time, just could have done without the New Yorkers. Ha!

Going to the 88 Fingers Louie reunion show tonight. I'm super fucking stoked. I haven't seen them since they broke up back in "98. Totally bringing out the kid in me. Unfortunately, Joe isn't playing bass with them due to him being on tour with Rise Against. Oh well, still will be a kick ass show!
