Summer finally seems to have set in.
Our pool is open so I've gotten to take a quick, cold swim twice. It still needs a few more sunny days to warm the water up. It rains about every other day right now. which is ok I guess since i'm in a windowless building 6 days of the week.
We got our vacation days in July approved which is so super hard to do since we both work in theaters where there is only one person to cover all 15 or 20 other people when they are out. It's ridiculous.
But, that means we're going to the beach! Wooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It will be our first real vacation together. We've done a few short trips this past year but since june will be our 2 year anniversary we thought it would be nice to get a first vacation in before baby comes in case we don't get another chance for a while. We've been saving for months so I was hoping it wouldn't be a major fiasco to get the time off.
I was inspired seeing all the flowers on the patio below our deck around the pool so I went shopping after work friday and got a little container garden started.
It's a little late to be starting veggies here but I got flowers and cooking herbs and a big, pretty ornamental plant that will brighten up the outdoor eating spot.
I tried to stay away from anything that might make E's allergies act up too cause that would suck if he started sneezing everytime he went to lay in the hammock.
