I've also finished the damn wedding dress that was keeping me up at night to no end:
From this:
To this:
I re shaped the dress, hemmed the front, created a bustle with ribbons inside and button/loops outside. Washed and deconstructed a second hand vintage wedding dress for the lace. Removed all the original beading due to discoloration and dyed and hand beaded/crystal it to match the dress.
Phew! Glad that's over with. Did I mention I did it in 2 weeks while working about 50 hours each week?
Today E was sick as a dog and called into work because he was super nauseous and throwing up but there wasn't anybody to cover him til after 2 so he went in for a while and has been asleep since he got home. He tried some phenegrin or some shit but it didn't work and it's the reason he's been asleep all day.
So I've been home and bored most of the day since my car is at a bar in town where we met up after I got off work last night. Since I drove his drunk ass home last time it was my turn to have some fun
But now I'm stuck here since I'm scared to drive his car and mess it up. Buuuuuut....... While I was home I cleaned up the apartment a bit. did some sunbathing and reading and.....
Made a collar:
I'm not sure if I want to stitch the bands back on themselves and make loops for a small lock or a leash clip or put a normal buckle on it or a D ring setup or what. I kind of don't want the buckle because it's less unique. Maybe I'll ask E when he gets up since he will probably have some input on it.
Anywho.... It's a posture collar but not a very strict one since it's not very tall and has a little groove in front. I wanted it to be pretty strong so I have a 4oz metallic leather that's quite stiff backed by and sewn to a softer strip of black 4 oz leather. The inside leather is very soft and smooth so it won't chafe. I used the same black leather to make a binding band around the outside. It's also stitched down. The 2 front edges over lap about 1 1/2 inches which makes it move nicely without pinching.
If I put a buckle I could also stitch and rivet a nice big D ring to clip things to next to it. I also plan to rivet down the ends of the stitching that is holding the outside band down. I need to make a trip to find some hardware.
I got the leather in 2 scrap lots from the same seller on Etsy coronaquilts. I'm going to make a matching cuff or 2 if I can manage it. I love the purple color. I think it would make a great set for dungeons and fetish parties as well as a practical real time set.
