I'm back! Seems as though most of my peeps here have taken Elvis's lead and left the building.

Hmm?

Ah, laundry time! The weekly ritual of smoking cigarettes, drinking mass amounts of coffee, and deep global probing.

My old apartment is abnormally quiet today besides the soft gurgling sounds of the coffee maker reverberating off the walls of the barren second floor that was once our livingroom. All that remains is a futon, computer, and a card table.

Looking back at all the foolish...

Ah, chin up, you say... (well, not exactly, but I know what you mean)

Thanks for sharing your situation with me. It's so helpful to have people to talk to about this nonsense! smile

SIMPLICITY!!!

Civilization is a state of repressed happiness. The more tied one is to the quest of possessions the more their ability to be happy diminishes. Depression stems from unfulfilled wants and needs. Ask your self, where do my desires lay?

RESILIENCE!!!

True happiness is achieved through self discovery and finding ones self worth. I have found that I'm happiest when helping and teaching others....

Wednesday:

Got really baked and went to the Gold Star to contemplate life.
A vision of beauty was etched in my mind upon settling on to my bar stool. She was alone as well, only a few seats away
but I was too locked in to my own head to even speak outside of ordering a beer.

She had eyes that I could get lost...

Hello peeps!

So, I realize it might be a bit short notice, but Snowbeast is playing TONIGHT, December 30 at Gunther Murphy's (1638 W. Belmont). We're playing second...probably around 11pm. If you are able, come out and have a good time with us on New Years Eve Eve. It's our last show of the year!

Good question. I'm not sure specifically where in Detroit he hails from. The 7000 family tree can be found HERE if you want to peruse that for anyone who may look familiar.

Happy Birthday, by the way! biggrin

I know this may seem sick to some but I have been saving emails documenting the end of my marriage. Thoughts, feelings and emails to friends.

I wish I had saved all of them, but I feel as if I need to post what I do have to help me let go.

Due to our lease we are stuck together for three more months. Since...

"The thing that hurts the most is that She is the most Beautiful and intelligent woman that I have ever known, and that I gave myself completely and totally to her with little in return, but that had never mattered at all to me."

This part yelled itself at me. I SO know what you mean man! The giving of all to her was perhaps the biggest mistake I made. In the process I lost myself which had two really bad results - first, she couldn't find 'me' anymore and second, when she left my life I was emptied.

So a big lesson I'm going to try and hang on to for next time is to never lose the self. Even the most 'beautiful and intelligent woman' in the world is still outside of ourself. She is external and it's easy to lose sight of that. Know what I mean?

Anyway, I'm in no position to offer advice - still haven't even given up thoughts of winning my own most beautiful and intelligent woman back blackeyed Good luck man wink
