So. I haven't updated for a while as I really haven't had much to say. No amusing nutters at work, no near knife-fights, no screaming schizpohrenics, I feel quite cheated. There was, however, the co-worker who has apparently been saying behind my back that she thinks I'm lovely, but a bit strange. and also gay. this amuses me way more than it probably should, but at the very least she's half-right. I'm thinking of dropping ambiguous comments about my 'partner'.

Apart from that, life continues pretty much the same as usual. I have therefore decided to pep up what would otherwise be a rather boring journal entry with what could become a quasi-regular feature:

Yes, as we all know Youtube provides an invaluable service, giving us access to all sorts of crap, but allow me to act as your personal filter and guide you to all on Youtube that is awesome.

Birdy Nam Nam - Absesses
Crazy awesome bit of downtempo turntablism from Birdy Nam Nam, a team of 4 French DJs that won the DMC World Team Championship. The technical skill on display here is amazing, and unlike a lot of turntablism music, this has soul. Reminds me a little of my beloved Ratatat.

Spin
While we're on the subject of turntablism, check out this spiffy short film of a DJ with godlike time-bending powers trying to stop a cyclist get run over with increasingly bad consequences. Hilariously morbid and his expression after the plane crash is classic.

Heat Vision and Jack
A pilot made back in 1999 that, for some utterly inexplicable reason, was never picked up. the cast and crew reads like a who's who of modern comedy films, directed by Ben Stiller and starring Jack Black, Owen Wilson and Ron Silver. A lampooning of bad 80's action shows about an astronaut on the run from Nasa with his talking motorcycle. Ron Silver steals every scene he's in as... well... Ron Silver, the famous actor who also happens to be a NASA enforcer. This had me rolling on the floor with laughter, well worth watching.
