I was having dinner in the home of my mom and stepdad. All of a sudden, I began to lose consciousness and nearly fainted to the floor. My stepdad called the ambulance because I was barely functioning and he saw my skin become very clammy and my face was very pale.
I started fighting for breath right as the ambulance pulled up. In the ambulance, they did an EKG on me. At the hospital, they ran a catscan, took a lot of blood, and several X- rays.
The Doctor's diagnosis after all the tests was that my vagus nerve was not sending enough blood to the brain during those scary five minutes I was completely unconscious. It was just a very scary event that took me and my family by surprise. My mom knew something was wrong when she asked me "Do you know who we are?" and I answered with my own name. I was totally gone those few minutes and I really thought I might've died.
Right now, I am just resting at home and hoping I don't have another episode.
