Hi All!!!
Okay, time for another update. As you can imagine I have been very busy which is why I have not been around at all lately. Work, school, and teaching are keeping me quite occupied.
Things have been busy at home the last few weeks as well. 2 1/2 weeks ago one of our cats, Zoe stopped eating for 2 1/2 days. We took her to the vet, she got an injection of Pepcid and B12, and $260 dollars later she is eating. The same weekend our female Corgi, Callie, cracked her left dewclaw. We took her to the vet and they cut the nail down and bandaged her up. A follow-up appointment and some antibiotics and we're down another $100 or so. Then, this past weekend we were grooming our older rescue, Rosie (aka mamma), and what we thought was a mat at the end of her tail ended up being a festering wound (cut down to the inerds of her tail). We took her to the emergency vet, they shaved the end of her tail and gave us anitbiotics - another $150. Now we have to give her warm compresses three times a day and watch to make sure her tail is healing, otherwise they will have to amputate the tip. So, $500+ in 2 1/2 weeks and I think we're good to go. When it rains it pours right?
As always, all is well with hubby and I, and the rest of our furry children are doing just fine. Never a dull moment, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
So, I miss you all terribly. Hopefully when school ends in May I will have much more time for my on-line family. For now though, I hope you are all happy and healthy!
Anne
