Greetings Earthlings!
So, I started school on Wednesday. Left on the Waldwick train at 7am. First I must comment on the suckiness of the NY Subways during a bad rainstorm. No one ever told me that Subways leak! I was getting wet ON the train! Thank god I made all my trains on time, cause as soon as I got off at Columbus Circle they announced that they were closing the train in both directions. Then, on my 1 block walk from the train station to school I became soaked from the knees down, and my backpack literally had a puddle in it.
Classes started at 8:30, and luckily I was right on time, albeit very wet. I had 5 classes throughout the day until 7:10 pm, with a 1:45 minute lunch break. I didn't get back to the Waldwick train station until 9pm. I really like all the professors, my classmates are wonderful, and the Director of the PhD program chose to be my facutly advisor. However, the course load is tremendous. 4-5 hours of work per class per week on average. I am FUCKED!!! How the hell am I gonna work 35 hours a week, spend 11 hours in class on Wednesdays, and do 20+ hours of class work each week. If you can figure it out, please let me know.
I'm terrified that I won't be able to get it all done. And I'm not even counting keeping up with my house...cleaning, laundry, bills, animals, sex... Hubby is wonderful, but I don't want to over-burden him either. As it is he is covering the beasties alone Tuesday and Thursday evenings while I'm working, and then he is on his own all day Wednesday as well. Then the poor guy has to come get me at the train station.
As you can see, hubby is a saint and the only reason I may be able to pull this off. And yes, I am a bad, bad wife. I was soooo stressed about starting school Wednesday morning I didn't remember it was his birthday until like lunch time. I am so going straight to hell...do not pass go...do not collect $200.
Anyhoo, that is my rant for now. I'll try to keep you all posted as best I can.
Yillie, let's keep in touch about getting together. Maybe the week after next???
Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Anne

baggage (or as i like to call it "damage") does indeed suck.

Good luck with school; as with any good man, I'm sure he's willing to do it for a backrub once in a while
how long is this hell going to last?
