SO today I went to Mary Free Bed.. the rehabilitation center I spent 5 months in, to talk to the work counselor there. The awesome thing is that Center For Independent Living is in Orlando (~45 minutes away from where I want to live) and will help me find out about nurses.. help me live alone, and help me get a job.
Things are coming together and I am feeling super stoked.. plus It's almost June and IrishWhiskey and I will be hanging out.
On top of that I went and weighed myself and my chair (obviously lol) and it came out to 592. Well I looked up my model of wheelchair and how much the battery weighs and it came out to 378! So I am down to ~214lbs, which is huge for me, and just inspires me to keep doing my exercise and eating right/better.
It was weird being back there though. I felt like I was back there.. back in the hospital.. it was all so familiar, but no one knew me, and why should they because hell I was last there 12years ago lol. It's sad though because people have to start the cycle of everything I had (still have to) go through. It's so instant too.. one day something can seem so normal and the next life is brand new.
The funny thing about the whole trip is that when I started working with this case ..worker.. she thought that I was irresponsible and just overall not motivated, but when I graduated with honors they were trying to do everything they could to have me stay and Michigan .. what's more funny is that she seemed absolutely shocked that I have a plan and even called me gifted LOL. ah man.. I love proving people wrong sometimes lol
Anywho. It was a inspiring, interesting, funny, weird, and refreshing all in one.
