THE WIND
I stand alone in my yard
And look towards the bright spring sky.
The wind whips through my world,
Mussing my hair and refreshing my face.
This whirlwind of calm,
Relieves me of burden and doubts and second guesses
And so many other things that I thought
So difficult to be lifted.
Its power is immeasurable,
And it seems to blow only for me.
I know its not true,
But I let myself believe it for a moment.
I stand alone in my yard,
But not in the world.
I know that now.
I stand alone in my yard
And look towards the bright spring sky.
The wind whips through my world,
Mussing my hair and refreshing my face.
This whirlwind of calm,
Relieves me of burden and doubts and second guesses
And so many other things that I thought
So difficult to be lifted.
Its power is immeasurable,
And it seems to blow only for me.
I know its not true,
But I let myself believe it for a moment.
I stand alone in my yard,
But not in the world.
I know that now.
