In response to your last post:
you know, reading that gives me this weird insipration to go write a 15 minute epic of a song, if only i could write lyrics like that i might be able to make something out of my music. was that a poem or a song? (excuse my ignorance i dont know who Pablo Neruda is) anyway im going to leave you alone now.
Pablo Neruda was a Chilean poet who wrote several volumes of poetry, such as Veinte Poemas de Amor (Twenty Poems of Love) and Residencia en la Tierra (Residence in the Earth)(I and II) plus about 11 others. He was the ambassador to Spain until just after the Civil War and the rise of Franco there. He was exiled for being a member of the Communist party, whom he supported until his death but was welcomed back to the country and made ambassador to France under Pres. Salvador Allende. His poems range from the support of Civil Rights in the US and other countries, poems that tinge on erotic, writing, and nature.
I have a volume of collected poems from his different works and I think a book called The Captains Poems.
There is also a film called Il Postino it's set in Italy, when Neruda was exiled.
