Exam in my studio lab today... really easy stuff on using dynamic processors, etc. Wish me luck though!
Other than that I've been researching into getting a nice Mac Pro Tools set up. Costs a lot of loot though but I think after school if I get a job I'll be able to manage that.
Spoke to my friend Mike the other day about our noisecore project 8Bit Overdrive. Basically he has a ton of nice hardcore jazz inspired riffs ready to mesh into my collage of noises, beats, and soon to be cartoon samples. Many many many ideas are in the pot for us to use. I can't wait til I move back and we can go out and just record + practice the shit. After we have 4 songs fully pieced together we will go into the studio and I will mix it with my 'Mentor' Jason Dahl. (That is the plan now at least)
Other ideas are to start a small label with a focus on Japanoise, Digital Hardcore, and maybe E-Grind. If any of you are interested in any of that check out Einstenium - they have a lot of DIY 1 man drum machine bands of differing quality, etc. I myself just ordered some e-grind off of them.
Anyway, can't wait til the weekend as I get to go home and see my gal and maybe look at some nice gear at the music stores. Best wishes to everyone!

i'm all about the potatoe-core. i guess that's why when i decide to dress like a "girl" people make such a big fuss and make me want to dress even worse then my aforementioned disgruntled sack of potatoes.
oh and thanks for the niceness. i need that every once in awhile.
i'll have to check out in flames. have you heard the black dahlia murder? i like them a whole lot. even if they look emo. they're great though. if you haven't heard them you should really check them out.
The Green Door cookbook was about $20... seems a little expensive for a paperback thing, but it's worth it. That way, if you try something super good, you can make it at home for the next week.
Good vegan food in Ottawa? Actually, right next to the Green Door
