Cook County (where Chicago is), has a very soft on crime State Attorney and just elected a Mayor who will make things even worse. This couple was assaulted, robbed of wallets, shoes, and phones. A Good Samaritan tried to get cops to help, but they refused. Luckily she got them in her car and to safety.

Mayor Johnson's reaction to the recent violence — don't "demonize" criminals, create safe spaces for them. But hey, your homicide rate is down (every other crime is up, most by double digits). I’m so 🤬tired of common sense taking a back seat to politics, “Lock ‘em all up” or “let ‘em all out” are the only two options.
