Not many of you know but I’m involved in organizations and ministries that help veterans and first responders and military veterans who have been injured physically - but mostly psychologically in the line of duty. In 2013, the United States government decided that those soldiers, seaman, airmen, and marines who have been suffering from a “great moral injury”. Prior to this, since they didn’t have any visible wounds they were not able to retire medically. Now they are able to retire at 100% disability and get medical care for life and receive a pension. The other day I came across this story, apparently a Canadian army veteran called his veteran affair service and requested help for his TBI and PTSD. Did the representative get him help for either or both issues? No, because that would have been the RIGHT THING to do, instead, the moron…I mean representative suggested medically…assisted…SUICIDE!

Then, the idiot (sorry)…brain dead jacka (sorry)…unsympathetic assh…(sorry)…representative said “I helped another veteran do it and we even got his kids counseling…”. The rep kept pushing it and the veteran kept asking them to stop. He finally hung up and reported it. The VAC is investigating it but the employee in question is still working and not on administrative leave.
It angers me because I have had family serving in the military since the Revolutionary War. Some have given their lives so tyranny and oppression will die. To think that a veteran would be treated this way disgusts me. We lose 22 veterans a day to suicide, 50,000 will sleep on the street. Many of them have mental health issues. I had to wait a few days for this because I am just so damn furious…
