Veteran's Day is now over. My 14th in uniform. I really don't care if anybody is thankful. That's not why I signed up. I signed up partly for the romance of it. And holy Hell, was the first enlistment a romance. It's odd that the decision to be a Marine and the subsequent enlistment almost perfectly mirrored my time with my ex-wife. They are both hot, sexy and effing nuts. When all is said and done I have more time as a Coastie than as a Marine and more time away for the ex than with.
That said, if you're thankful for the less then 1% that serve: No problem, it is my pleasure! If you don't care: That's cool.
