well....i cant support it. i was over there. while he makes a few points, i just dont agree with it all. if i had more time i'd blot down the things he hit dead on and vise versa. i agree that there are people in office who have something to gain by all of this. he seems to have forgot about afghanistan. as a veteran of 2 conflicts, i can say, it helps to have either served or to have been over there to understand and relate. bush isnt going anywhere soon. he got re-elected. sorry.

It's never so simple as "pull out" - we'd leave iraq in total chaos. OTOH we can't fix the chaos the way we're doing it now so a new approach is mandated, and I don't know what that is.

Yaknow, I bet there's foliks in the white house that are thinking "Hmmm.... war with Iran or Korea would be a GREAT way to distract from the shit in iraq! let's do that!"

I do think that having the army there is worse than otherwise so pulling out is probably a good thing, but having folks we can put in place (NGOs and/or a fully funded UN initiative?) to help keep all the infrastructural bits in place would be a good thing.

We shouldn't have gone in in the first place but we did so now we've got to deal with our responsibilities - if we can get our heads on right to figure out what they are.

I gotta work at the store today from 10 to 5, luckily tomorrow I have the day off tho the store will be open. Dunno what I'll do yet, just hang out and chill I think.
