Let me just say that I LOVE Kansas City. It's great to see the city and the local scene still going strong, with a lot of the guys and girls I remember from when I was 14 and new to the whole thing. It's good to be getting back into the flow of things, after spending nearly two years out on the rocks after dad died.
It's finally warming up again, and spring is coming around, and I feel alive again. I can't fucking stand winter, it's so damned depressing. I get to the point where I really don't care much about life anymore, and I don't care what happens to me, if I live or die...blah. I hate that feeling. But warm weather is here and summer is on it's way and I'm in love with the city and the locals and life!
I crave adventure, romance, long warm nights, and relaxing music. The Slackers and Westbound Train have provided my soundtrack for this warm weather we've been having this week, and it's really really getting me to feel like...me again. I just feel so alive again, for the first time in a long time. It's sounds crazy, but I'm just really excited to be alive right now.
Also, the new Slackers album, "Peculiar", is fucking amazing. I highly recommend it.
