As odd a time as it was, I had a really good day. This morning, I got to have coffee with a dear old friend of mine. She and her hubby had me stay at their house for 4 years to housesit. They're sort of like a second set of parents, who always are so happy to see me. We talked for about 3 hours, which I really needed.
Then, I needed to return a shirt. I'm a big dude. And big dudes have a big problem finding clothes. Last weekend, I found a shirt I really liked, bought it, wore it one day, and washed it according to instructions...and the sleeves shrank. My arms are about 3 inches longer than the average, so finding a shirt with long enough arms is a rarity. So, I took it back. But, first, I checked my mail...and found a big-ass coupon from the same store. Not only did they exchange the shirt for a fancy french-cuff dress shirt, I had enough on the coupon for a pair of cufflinks. Then, since I was in the neighborhood, I stopped by whole foods and managed to get a whole week's worth of groceries for $5 less than my usual budget! That was pretty exciting for me.
I know, pretty lame. But I'll take my good days where I get them.
