Hello! It's Sunday the 15th here so Valentine's Day is officially over for another year. I find it frustrating as a holiday. Those of us who are in happy relationships feel guilty saying anything. Those of us who are single feel like shit and like the rest of the world is taunting us. So no one is happy. Why do we do this to ourselves? Also, it's strange that it's this one day of the year that we're supposed to express our love for one another. Through gifts and consumerism. Surely, that's something we should be doing year-round and not because of social obligation? Throughout my life, I've found Valentine's day more frustrating and disappointing than anything else. That said, this year I had a lovely time. I visited the countryside, ate a lot of chocolate, went out to dinner and watched a hilarious cooking show on Youtube.
Yep. Not bad at all.
