I love modelling. From the very first photoset I shot back when I was a shitty little thing in 2009 (earlier?), I've been hooked. But it's weird. I've always held back with shooting. Stopped myself. Spaced out sets and really stuck to 'safe' themes and thrown away stuff that was anything short of perfect. I guess that's just me being paranoid. BUT! I get itchy. I love shooting! I want to do it more! So I've come up with a plan. If you head on over to my brand spanking new Patreon page, you can now get photosets! New photosets! Different photosets! Sets that aren't going to appear here on SG.
Here's a couple of previews. This set is called Cotton Socks.
Yeah. It was shot on the same day as I shot One Ring (which is here on SG. Had a busy day!) but I never submitted it to Member Review. And then I got more tattoos. So it's moment had passed. Boo.
So far there are four sets, but considering that you can also commission photosets for me to shoot (you choose theme, location etc and whether you want the set uploaded online) I think that list is really going to grow! I'm also selling signed prints, signed magazines I've been in, and even 1 on 1 Skype time with me! Hopefully it goes well, I'm really excited about it. All the donations go directly to me too, which is new.
Here's a couple more previews from a set I made called 'Ugg' (because I'm wearing ugg boots derr). It was shot out on a farm the same day as I shot Country Avenue (which was recently taken down out of Member Review here on Sg and is now partying it up on Zivity and on Patreon).
Geez I was in SUCH good shape when I shot that set! It's ridiculous.
Anyway, that's probably enough of me pimping out Patreon. But you should check it out and become one of my patrons. I've been running at a loss doing this photoset thing which is MAD because I'm getting naked on the internet. This will help. I hope. And it'll mean much less of me complaining about Member Review sets that haven't been bought. Because they'll have a second chance too. Everyone wins!
I did crossfit today. I don't want to talk about it. My thighs hurt. Almost so bad I can't walk down stairs. OUCH. I must have done, what, fifty squats? With a barbell on my shoulders? I'm really making an effort to get into shape for summer (yay summer) and ready for the year to come. ;)
I'm feeling really positive, have been for a few days. I suppose it's to do with the fact that I won National Novel Writing Month and actually knuckled down and WROTE FIFTY THOUSAND WORDS IN ONE MONTH. Just today, I printed off the finished first draft. An 80k manuscript to go hang out with my other 80k manuscript on the editing pile. It's good. Better than the first one. I'm really feeling great about it.
The positivity is leaking through into other parts of my life too. My work is going well, went back to see some completed projects. Nothing beats standing in a room YOU designed. I took some kickass photos for my portfolio too. Which will, in turn, lead to more work. My brother bought an apartment (!) which is kinda making me more focused about what I want in the future. More ambitious. I want to one-up him and build myself a house. And I'm getting more tattoo work done soon too!
Now, sets on SG. There are two you need to check out.
@pebblezink has a stunning one called Break My Fall (@exkyu as photographer) which we shot out in the bushland of rural ACT (the Orroral Valley, in case you're inclined to google) and it turned out INCREDIBLE. Like, some of the BEST work I've seen out of us. I'm just so proud. Please go check it out.
and @vorpal has one called Lace (@exkyu as photographer) which we shot at the Melbourne Shootfest. Vorpal is gorgeous and I really enjoyed collaborating with her on the eventual images we included in the set. She picked out a whole bunch I might have looked over. The end result is really lovely and I'm so glad we got to work with her. What a babe. Go give her set some love too.
Over the next few days you will see a LOT of sets coming out by @exkyu that we shot at the Melbourne Shootfest. I took a week off work and did the post production so they're all coming out within week or two of one another. SO! If you're not already following them, go follow @peggysue @electra @christina @aubreyx @soho_ @twitchling and @maddame and when their sets come out, go see how great they are. Because they're great. So great. I love our Aussie babes!
I'm starving. I'm gonna go eat, now.
Have a nice week, everyone. I hope the giving of thanks holiday went well for Team America. I was both confused and amazed by the WalMart Black Friday fight videos.
xx
