Hey guys! Thank you all SO much for the beautiful comments on my new set Ornament and Crime. I just read through a whole bunch and I feel so warm and fuzzy now, thank you. I honestly can't say it enough. Golly gosh.
I've been pretty busy with work this week. I've put a whole lot of new effort into designing the best buildings I can and really getting my head around the whole documentation process. It's been hard-going but rewarding all the same. Working on five Georgian-style tw0-storey houses (cottages? probably a little too big for that). For a developer. I really like the developer, she is an amazing businesswoman and really knows her stuff. I am used to blokey blokes who just got into the building houses gig because they're MEN and MEN BUILD THINGS MAKE MONEY PROFIT ARR. Whereas this lady wants to build something beautiful as well. She has a really amazing aesthetic and it's been really fun collaborating. Georgian style is typically pretty reserved in ornamentation but I think the buildings will look just lovely. They look rather like an old bank. Which is a good thing. Because older Australian banks are probably one of the few Georgian buildings of any merit in this country. Haha. My windows are bigger on the lower floor too. Been doing my research. I am sure the builder will kill me when he/she realises what pitch I want the roof at. We're not used to building steep pitches here. No snow loads.
I've also been working on my writing. Not much to report on that. I've been focusing mostly on some silly little tale I am writing up for fun. But I'm enjoying myself.
