Hey there kitties!
I'm away from home at the moment so I haven't gotten through all of the new friend requests yet. I've been sitting here about 3hrs now and I'm around halfway through. I don't just want to go ahead and accept everyone, only the people who are either interested in my blog or my photo set or who have sent me messages... which is looking like about 35% of the people who asked to be my friend at this point. I have no idea why the others have requested me, seeing as they've had nothing to do with me EVER. Its really odd.
Anyway, I'm enjoying my time away, I slept in till 1pm yesterday which is my latest morning ever! I've gone out with some of my friends over the last two nights as well. Its been lovely! I have missed being on here, and the abysmal state of my friend requests and the number of un-replied messages and blog comments is further proof of that. The next three days are going to be almost internetless too
Anyhoo... here's something that's been stirring around in my head over the last week...
I find it funny, the differences between different types of people. I was watching the two SG DVD's the other night, I watched "The Italian Villa" followed by "The First Tour" and I was struck by how different the two are from one another. Not so much in content, because essentially both DVD's profiled the adventures of a bunch of SG's and looked in on their photosets being made with interviews and whatnot... the difference I noticed was between the girls themselves.
In one part of the "Italian Villa" Manko is narrating in that ridiculous fake accent (lol) and I just managed to overhear one of the Italian girls ask the others as they were sitting down to dinner "should we say grace?". Very cute. Haha. But the entire DVD is a very "classy" affair. Compare that to the American DVD "The First Tour" which, as Stormy says, is all about "bitches taking their clothes off!" With adventures of the girls getting absolutely drunk, chased out of hotel swimming pools and attempting to hail taxis whilst completely naked and wondering why no one would stop (my guess is that the taxis thought they were hookers, but that's just my theory). Its not that the Europeans were less alcoholic... the expression "we should drink something" is repeated many times, but they were careful to keep their excentricities (and nudity) behind closed doors.
I'm not trying to put a value judgement on the two different DVD's or the two different sets of girls as I found both thoroughly entertaining... I just found it interesting how DIFFERENT these two sets of girls were and yet both groups are the same types of girls. SG's. Both of them were naked a lot, but the way they were naked was different. I love it when one of the European SG's is talking in Italian and says that SuicideGirls is a place where she can show "a different, secret side of herself". I like that. Its the way I see it too.
I think I (as an Aussie) fit somewhere in between the two groups. I think "The First Tour" would be completely out of my comfort zone but I could be goaded into doing some pretty crazy stuff if there was enough alcohol and fun going on. But at the same time I wonder if I'd be bored being a part of "The Italian Villa". Although they had a fair share of action as well (that scene on the pool table? OOhh. Funstuff.) I guess we Aussies have our cultural background from the British and that really shows through in the way we behave. That said, a lot of us are slowly getting more and more Americanised because of TV.
Like I said, its interesting. And its *really* obvious if you watch the two DVD's one after the other.
Anyway, I'm going to disappear into my internetless hole. I'll be back in 3days with pictures of my travels and of new friends! Till then be good!

but they thank you very much for your heartfelt concern!
Loveyou!
