So I have been doing karate for about three weeks or so. That's not including weeks it was cancelled because of issues with finding a place to practice obviously. Today was testing for higher belts. I wasn't testing today. I was testing in two weeks. Originally it was ging to be over summer, but my sensei said I was advancing so quickly that he wanted me to test in two weeks.
Regardless I had to spar with the other white belt, who was testing today. I also had to do our kata (series of synchronized and set moves that differs on the belt you are testing for). Afterwards, my sensi decided to go ahead and give me my yellow belt because I did so well. I was the quickest to advance he said.
Now, I am off to drink and write a 2 page paper on sexualiy in gothic literature. Tomorrow is Friday and since it is May term, I will be getting hammered in the middle of the afternoon. You call it alcoholism, I call it being a college student.
Don't judge me.
