House music is classical music: Why?
Something I realized some time ago but have never been able to satisfactorily articulate why is that house music a modern version of classical music; that if we modernized classical music by along with audio samples adding a beat to it, we have house. Beside from the technical standpoint that house music is rooted in regular instruments, house is emotion by sound, which so is classical music. Other genres of music such as breakbeat are not emotion by sound, at least not effectively, because such as with breakbeat the emotion is too erratically broken up. House mixes so gradually transition from one to another, to stream from one emotion to another, and it is often noted that good house mixes must go on a journey.
Any thoughts? Bueller? Bueller?
