reminiscing....
I think the swings are my favorite toy on the playground, followed closely by the merry go round.
I remember as a kid there was a swingset that seemed a hundred feet tall. I was too scared to swing all the way to the top.
I think I'd still be a bit scared if I came across a swingset that huge.
I also spent alot of my time growing up in the tops of trees. I remember my favorite spot as a 5 year old was nestled in the branches of a walnut tree in my backyard.
I was probably 30 feet of the ground and it seemed that nothing could touch me.
I remember my feeling of disapointment when the garbage man broke off one of my favorite limbs.
I knew it was an accident but I was still a little miffed.
I would spend hours just staring up at the leaves and watching the birds.
I liked the blue jays they were noisy, and they always tried to grab the food that people left unattended in the park.
The park was usually a nice place but sometimes it could get nasty.
I remember once that my sister was following me while we were exploring I got lucky and missed it but she stepped into a hornets nest.
She was frozen with fear.
And I didn't know what to do to help her. My dad tried telling her to jump into the river, but she was too scared.
My dad ran in to grab her and jumped into the river.
My dad was a hero in my eyes.
Unfortunately he later lost that luster.
It's sad when heros fall.

my foot got caught and it dragged my head on the gravel untill it slowed to a stop.
