Is truth "that which works", or "That which coheres", or "that which feels good", or what?
See, I think to understand christianity, or really any religious or secular worldview, you have to come to grips with the preconditions of the belief system. The preconditions for Christianity are:
-Metaphysical: God; An infinite personal God exists both beyond and in the universe.
-Supernatural: Miracles; God is capable of making a divine intervention into the natural world.
-Revelation; That God is capable of giving a revelation, that we as humans are capable of receiving that revelation, and there is a medium through which a revelation can be given.
-Logical: all of the claims of any worldview are subject to the basic laws of thought.
-Meaning; that there is objectivity in meaning.
-Truth: that it is absolute and knowable.
-Language: that human language can convey God's nature.
-Hermeneutics (interpretation): that it is possible to gain an objective interpretation of God's revelation (both in scripture and in nature).
-History: that it is objective and knowable.

these are the bricks and basis for my belief.
