My friend is having a party this weekend. She is calling it Beerfest. The rule is, everyone has to bring a six pack of a different type of beer. Being a connoisseur of rare and import beers, I am having a difficult time deciding exactly what to bring. Sure, you have your normal Miller, Bud, ect...but that would be an insult to bring to such an event. I was thinking Killians or Guiness, but they have gained populaity over the last few years and many people at least have tasted them. We have a brewery in the northern portion of the state that makes wonderful beers called Great Lakes Brewery...still far too common in this area. I was thinking of going and picking up a six pack of Shock Top. I have never had it, even though we do have it on tap (one of our 23 draughts) at the bar I work at. Anyone had it? Any other suggestions?
