I have what you might consider to be an unreasonable appetite for hobbies and interests. At various times in my life (and in what seems to be recurring cycles) I hunt, shoot sporting clays, I own several rifles, pistols, and shotguns, I fish, I've owned a lot of boats, I'm an advanced certified diver (plus NITROX), I'm licensed to drive motorcycles - recently sold my Harley, I'm also a licensed pilot ( I had my own plane for years, and am currently trying to figure out how I can afford another one) I play guitar and Bass guitar (somewhat) I still sing with bands when I have the chance, I like dancing, drinking, sex . . . I don't know, I must have left someting out, but you get the idea. I firmly believe that life is short . . so you may as well take a big bite while you can. I've always been this way. Admittedly, my ability to pursue ever-expanding interests grew proportionately with career success. Hobbies ain't cheap! Lots of people disagree with my philosophy . . . and spend their lives living conservatively, never having fun, so they can accumulate savings and investments, etc. Problem is they either die prematurely, so the effort was wasted, or they end up wishing they had done more with their lives while they were young. Fuck it! I'm going to enjoy life while I can . . . if I have to live modestly when I'm old . . . so what! Better that, than regrets!
