I went to the Blue Note with my friend Willis last night. The Blue Note has an "open jam" on Thursday nights. A musician friend that I've performed with before - Jimmy Red Shoes, manages the event. They called me up to do a few songs! Yay! Since I'm trying to get over being shy . . I got right up there. I sang Take it Easy (Eagles), Mustang Sally (Wilson Pickett), and New Orleans (Gary U.S. Bonds).
I'm glad Willis had a good time . . . he's been kinda bummed lately. Dragging him out last night, was a good thing! We may want to do that again, in the weeks to come.
