Hrmm . . . over 6 months since my last update. Guess I better do something about that.
Let me see . . . a few changes over that time and a few more coming up in the near future.
For starters, LizaRose, Oren and I are moving to Seattle in just over a month. We knew we had to move at the end of the year . . . we are just moving a little further than expected. Since I originally transfered within my corporation out to So Cal five years ago, I knew it would not be a big deal and likely come with a promotion (which it did). A few emails later, it was all set.
Just over a month ago, my car was set upon by gremlins. It has since been parked and replaced with a '99 Mazda Miata. It is cute, green and like corners. Oren thinks it is the coolest thing in the world riding with the top down, which we do often. Starting next week it will be going through a little metamorphasis as it is converted from a commuter tic-tac into . . . erm . . . a tic-tac more suited for autocross. (translation: a bunch of fancy suspension parts, a few engine goodies and a rollbar arrive on Wednesday)
I am selling my big-ass saltwater aquariums and downsizing for the move. The new tank is about 1/10th the volume of my current system but it is fancy as they come. I built the entire thing myself from various pieces of acrylic and metal. How fancy is it? Well, it is computer controlled and I can do everything from feed the fish to control the pH and temperature of the tank from anywhere I have an internet connection. It can even send a text message to my phone if something goes wrong. That's how fancy it is.
Oren is now just over 10months old. He is walking. He is talking a little. He can even climb the 14ft ladder I used to install lights/fans on the ceiling of our loft. I guess this is what happens when you cross a circus freak with a mountian climber. It is a good thing I think it is hilarious, otherwise I probably would have died from a heart attack 12 times over by now.
So, there ya go. I updated. See you in another 6 months!
