Went and downloaded the few episodes there were of Touching Evil... great series, wish they'd bring it back. The Shield seasons are coming via netflix which'll be cool... gonna go try to find Rescue Me also. If anyone knows where to get a copy of the episodes of Brimstone let me know! that was a wonderful show!
Anyway... there is a freaking huge dust storm going on right now. Bizzare driving from classes up in Tempe(Linear Algebra... yay?) then out to Chandler... alon ghte 101 the sky was blue with white fluffy clouds, the moment I get onto the new 202 extention, the sky is grey with brown swirls in it like some sort of post-apocolyptic world, then I look to the left and its a bright blue sky with fluffy white clouds again. Like two worlds meeting. Cool sight to see.
My phone's front LCD started "bleeding"(big purple glowy splotch cuz the LCD is screwed up) on the front so its all screwed up. However, I didn't want to pay $7 a month to verizon when I bought the phone in feb so they say i'm screwed. 6 months into a 2 year contract and they say they won't reduce the price of the phone AT ALL until at least 22 months from the start date are up. So what does the phone I payed $50 for upon renewal of my contract cost retail? $280 dollars... screw that crap. Went to 3 locations, they were totally unwilling to work with me. So I went onto Ebay... I really should have lurked for a better deal on one of the new phones. However, I saw a PDA-phone for $230 with 10 mins... did a little research and bought it. I'm pretty excited about it... I've needed a PDA or something like it to keep my classes and programming assignments straight for a while.(since my laptop's harddrive went belly up). I basically got last year's model... the I-700. The new replacement, the I-730 just came out recently and even WITH a 2 year contract is $600. So considering that, I think that is a pretty good deal.
Anyway, done with the geek rant about PDAs and Phones. Funny thing is, all the engineers in the computer systems program at ASU fall into 2 catigories:
1.)Total nerds with NO social skills
2.)Alchaholics who go out and party.
I seem to fit into the 2nd, and the 2nd in the work field tend to be in the managerial positions. Funny observation. Ummm... i'm sure theres more but I just got done walking 1.4 miles to class and 1.4 miles back in the freaking nutty heat so i'm a little fried. Going to go vegitate at my friend Hunter's place and watch TV.
p.s. i'm sure there are typos out the ass... oh well
