Man... I don't know what it is but i've been so lazy this week. This has led me to the thoughts down below. Ofcourse, feeling under the weather doesn't help either i'm sure but still.
I saw SawII last weekend... and it got me thinking. Though jigsaw is an intensly fucked up person... he did have a point. Humanity has lost much of its will to survive. When faced with a tough decision most of us wait it out to see what happens rather than being decisive and taking controll of our own lives. Now I'm not saying we should kill people who fail the test... but we do provide a society that coddles and comforts those too inept or complacent to better themselves. We as a species are growing weaker because of this. But is it a trade off? Insticncts and physical prowess(in the way of immunities etc.) that we'd get from natural selection for intellect and compassion? Is it natural to weaken in one area to evolve in another? Can we consider it evolution if its about social interaction and intellectual persuits at the expense of physical attributes? Hmmm maybe i'm overanalyzing it, but i did think the guy had a few valid points. Quite a Nietzchien point of view.
I need to strive to get things done inspite of fatigue or lack of desire to do so a little more so I feel like less of a hippocryte when pondering things like above.
