I got my digital camera delivered the other day, and I can't leave it alone. I keep picking at it and picking at it. ![tongue](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/tongue.55c59c6cdad7.gif)
Here are some things I shot. All the green things are my babies. I reared them lovingly through the summer. I breastfed them water and nutrients twice daily. I inspected them with a careful, loving eye. And I battled hungry birds who couldn't seem to get enough birdseed and so would turn to my plants for snacking and fighting. The other pictures are from a Spielerfrau, Phonograph, and Martin Bisi show at Tonic last night. Martin Bisi went on first and while I was initially dubious, I grew to like his breed of weird rock and off-key singing. Spielerfrau had another strong show, and some people actually bought some CD's -- omigod -- and Phonograph was great, too. It was my first time to finally see Phonograph. They just got picked up by a label (for good reason) and played some songs off of their new album. For a band that toured with Wilco already, a record deal didn't logically seem long in coming. Good for them! Tonic was pretty dark, I hate using flash at shows because it seems like a sure recipe for being annoying, and my hands were jittery. But I approve of the blurry effect. It's like, um, artsy. Yeah. So here we go!
Here's a closeup of a zinnia flower:

A sunflower closeup (the mourning doves molest these rather mercilessly):

Catnip, for which my cats love me:

Little chili peppers:

Future watermelons, although the round yellow things are not watermelons. Those are the flowers that will later fall off and leave stems behind that grow into the actual fruit.

More zinnia. They have been growing in various shades of yellow, red, orange, and pink. They remind me of my grandmother in Lebanon. She used to grow them in the summer.

I got this lil' guy at the dollar store. My husband looked very bemused to say the least. I think my ceramic doggie bank is shweet.

Picassa is ok, it is tough for me to use though cuz I deal with raw images, which can be fairly large, google didn't design it for that I think, it is more mainstream.....thanks for the info on the other prog. It will be useful when I do get a Mac.
Enjoy your Monday, I have been working with all pics from this weekend and seriously about to kill myself, something about the hum of the computer that really zonks me out.
