through the night & through the day?
until you finally get it!
And then you realize that it wasn't what you wanted after all.
And then those selfsame, sickly little thoughts
now go & attach themselves to something
(or somebody) new!
And the whole goddamn thing starts all over again.

thats sorta happened to me.. i mean, at least the first part of it... hmm.. i guess that would mean that it really hasn't happened to me.. cuz any time i can remember wanting something so badly... so badly that it consumes me.. once it was in my possession.. i've appreciated it and got out of it exactly what i thought i would, or what i wanted...

well shit.. i don't know what that means...
