Something to think about
"To see the truth one must first eliminate all outside influences" from Just another book about happiness
Towards the end of the book the author explains the types of "internal outside influence" (inside your head, but outside of the truth) that cloud our ability to see the truth.
The influence of the past: How our past experiences create prejudices and assumptions.
Present influences: Simply put, your senses.
Future influences: Your thoughts about the effect that the present will have on the future.
Once all of the outside influences are stripped away the truth is revealed.
