I've been having a blast since I finished with my finals for summer classes last week. Since Thursday morning, I have been on break from classes. Fall classes start September 7th.
It's a week and a half, but time flies when you're having fun and it already feels like there won't be enough time to chill and get things done as much as I wanted. Ah well, so goes it.
I spent this weekend visiting my dear friend Tadzi in New Jersey. It was quite laid back and fun. It was kind of nice for me to get out of the city for a little while. As much as I love being a city mouse, it is nice to see big trees in places other than a city square park, and to be able to walk through a leafy green neighborhood. The weather's been so nice lately.
We saw "Inception", which was mindblowingly awesome. It was so complex that I think I need to see it again before I can really understand everything that happened, but suffice to say that it was the best movie of that genre I've seen in a long time. It makes me want to see "The Prestige" again, too, by the same director. I also loved that movie; I saw it twice in the theatres.
I've also been watching Pillars of the Earth. It's based on my all time favorite book, and this miniseries adaptation is really doing it justice! There are some changes, some of which were necessary for condensing it and others which perplexed me at first. Can't wait for the last episode!

Thanks for the happy bithday note - it's really easy to miss birthdays on this site since it doesn't have an area with a list of birthdays like facebook does so more often than not I end up missing them too.
