So far, I am having a lovely time in Seattle visiting my sister.
Finished with summer classes on Tuesday before I left, man, that feels like a relief! Only thing is that fall classes start in just a few weeks.
I want to find a new apartment and live in Center City. The area where I live is reasonably nice, but it has been boring me lately. I had this dream that I moved to Center City and life got a lot more interesting, so I think I need to take that and roll with it.
Yesterday we went to Jennie's hot yoga class. Has anyone done hot yoga? What an awful idea! You're working out, so you're already sweating... so why don't we... turn up the heat in the room? It felt good to stretch out after the plane ride and I felt really good afterwards, but today I am so sore I can barely walk. Shows how lazy I've been in the past month.
I went to the farmer's market afterwards, and then we lazed around for awhile. I got this amazing blueberry bread and chocolate milk from a local dairy. Then we went to this event from Yelp.com with a friend of hers. It was a dress-up affair, with free food and drinks to promote local businesses that sell them. Is anyone here a member of Yelp? Apparently you write reviews for restaurants and bars and, in exchange, you get free stuff. I almost made out with a hot chick with pink hair, but she is having trouble healing a vertical labret and so is sworn off making out for now.
Today we went to her college, and I talked to someone in admissions. I am considering going into the nutrition program there. Social work pays jack shit unless you do a lot of graduate work, and I think I'd have more fun being a nutritionist. I love to obsess about food, but I'd rather go into something health-oriented than cooking it. Nutritionists make pretty good money.
Seattle is full of healthy food. Today we went to this pizzeria that actually makes pizzas with fake meat on them. Believe it or not, that was my first time having pizza with fake meat! I am so a fan.
Oh, also I got a massage. It was pretty nice, and helped with the soreness from hot yoga.
