Ah, it's been some time since I've updated my journal, so here goes.....
I hope you happy people had fun on Valentine's Day. I was at work, and I've never observed the day. A couple of weeks ago, I went out to eat and then went to see Final Destination 3. Dinner and a movie is not quite my thing, but I a night of grub and gore. The perfect outing for a morbid girl.
I changed my screensaver on my computer at work, and freaked everyone out. In honor of the error-filled systems we work with, my screensaver has a blue background with scrolling white text reading "The Blue Screen of Death". Several people asked if I was okay or if I needed to talk or unload my problems. Ah, kids these days! They don't even remember the infamous blue screen of death (sponsored by Windows ) A few people got it after I explained the joke in layman's terms.
Speaking of more work appropriate humor, I am now reading Terry Pratchett's Going Postal. It's a good, humorous light read. Only one person has had the balls to ask me what the book was about
After watching a friend's petri dishes (aka children) this past weekend, I caught some bug or the other. Not fun. Luckily I have the day off to rest and recover. It has been rather cold here (suprise!). During the past weekend we had freezing rain, a little bit of ice and sleet, and two actual days of winter! Finally!
Until my next journal entry, please enjoy this late Valentine's Day gift:
