this is mainly a comment concerning those that "will leave" the country if their guy loses.
you lucky, lucky bastards!
i'm 18, been in this country since i was 4. i can't vote. i'm not a citizen, can't afford the $400 dollars to become one and, i guess, honestly i don't think i want to be an american citizen.
i've done my part though, i got a few people to vote for "my guy", whether they really will or just said they will to make me happy.
either way, if bush wins, i'll leave the country...oh wait...i can't. i can't afford it, i can't even afford the gas to drive 4 hours to canada...oh wait...i don't even have a car...nor a job...nor the will to keep give this country more money...
*sigh* atleast my parents are doing good
oh wait....my father lost his job because of outsourcing. well, atleast my mother...hmmm...no... her union lost half of their accounts because of some bull shit that the bush administration pulled...now she makes $3 an hour less...yes, THEY CAN lower your wages and the labor department will do jack shit about it.
well... i think i've filled out the same 30 applications to the same 30 places within reasonable distance from my home about a million times in the last 2 years. i guess an A+ honor student, that speaks 2 languages fluently, has recieved countless academic awards, won countless art shows, etc, etc, and is willing to scrub toilets and kiss ass STILL isn't better than a Bosnian refugee that can't speak english to save their life that mcdonalds (and every other job, including doctors' receptionists, cashiers, bank tellers) has working the driver through.
"can i got a medium french fries and a small iced tea?"
i got a burger and a large coke. i mean, for christ sakes!
"get me your manager"
driver through worker: ???????
jeez....the manager only speaks spanish...hmmmm...so how did that hire happen?
why can't i fucking find a goddamn job!!!!! i'm not blaiming bush or anything but, christ, man, jeez why did we have to wait 7 years (on the visa waiting list even before i was born) to get into this country while 5 years after their war is over, the Bosnians were allowed in millions at a time with noooooooooooooooooooo green card and noooooooooooooooooooooooooo passport. fuck man, they got like $5000 a family and do you know what every Bosnian in my old highschool got? a used mustang! what the fuck do you need a goddamn mustang for?! you cant speak english, you don't have a job, and you're in pre-pre-pre- algebra! so now, 2 years later they all totalled their mustangs, still dont speak english and finally got jobs...all of them... fucking A. man.
give me $5000 and i'll leave the goddamn country!!! come on bush! gimme some goddamn money so i can buy a crappy AUTOMATIC mustang!
so, for those of you leaving the country, do me a favor: go to poland! its kinda nice there, plus its cheap living cuz they don't use euros yet. and please visit my dying grandmother that i havent seen in 7 years, tell her i love her and that i wish i could see her but i cant afford it "i'm sorry, babcia", and send me a postcard k? prefably a postcard of poznan, my home town. the old market is lovely in late spring!
