annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I'm back...
yes yes, you were all waiting on pins and needles for my triumphant return... well the day is upon you and now all is right in the world.... Hazaa Hazaa....
now, about the trip...
I went on a cruise, which is something I have never actually wanted to do, as it just gives you the watered down, tame, cliche version of where ever you're going.... w/ that said, you can still travel outside the "recommend itinerary" and meet some interesting locals that truly make your trip... ie, the ghost cab driver that broke every considerable law to get us to our destination for $4, in a vehicle that had its mirrors sheered off (presumably from more illicit driving), a dashboard held together w/ rope, a beer in the cup holder, and a transmission that had seen better days (before our driver some how merged 1st and 2nd gear into a monster that hopped us down the st), all the while he was on the phone w/ his insurance company about his most recent accident...
aside from that, I had beautiful beaches, beautiful weather, exceptional food, and a sauna... yes a sauna... oh how I missed going for a sauna.... sigh.... and all that paid for for work....
so I'm back to gloomy weather and no home.... I'm staying w/ a friend until I can get an appartment... I'm getting frustrated.... OH, I wrote a 6pg introspective piece about not having a home... if I get the time I'll type it out..
but thats that, I have to run for a lunch date.... hope all is well w/ everyone... and for all those who emailed, I'll get back to you soon as I have yet to get some quality interweb time....
later
