well its my first day off in a couple weeks, so I got to sleep.... was nice.... and then I started my xmas shopping!!! Now I wasn't going to get anyone anything, as I'm boycotting xmas (due to the fact I can't go home and, well, there you have it), BUT my roommates got me something, and my ex-roommates got me something, so I felt obliged... wine and gift cards all around!!!

as of last night I realized that I hadn't call my Dad and informed him I'm not going back for xmas... so I bit the bullet and made the call, and it went really well. He was at an xmas party so it was only a short chat, but most everything was said, and thats all good.... I'm really happy that neither of my parents gave me a hard time about this, I feel mostly good about it... mostly...

I received 2 xmas cards today. One from my Aunt/Cousins w/ school pictures which made me smile. The other was from one of my oldest friends; he and his gf just bought a house and send out very formal, self portrait cards...

tomorrow is the big day, and I really don't care, and my not caring makes me unhappy... it just seems wrong that I'm more upset about the not caring about xmas, then I am about xmas... <shrug>... tomorrow will be spent skateboarding, movies (Cashback, Beautiful Girls, and Lost in Translation are my picks so far), drinks, reading some 6degrees ( thnx again ), and hopefully seeing some friends later in the day (but if not I think it might be interesting to roam the streets, take some pictures)....
